Stacey Kelly of Moccasin has claimed a Montana Sports Action Fantasy Racing prize with a Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400 wager placed at The Black Bull Company Saloon located at 122 Central Ave. in Hobson

Kelly’s fantasy team earned 1,304 points for a first-prize ticket worth $873.20, or 50 percent of the prize pool. Her drivers were Denny Hamlin, Mark Martin, Kasey Kahne, Greg Biffle, and Bill Elliott. She incorrectly guessed five cautions but still received enough points to win first prize.

Kelly is an avid NASCAR fan and loyally plays Fantasy Racing through the Montana Lottery. In fact, this is her third time winning. She won twice in July of 2009. She joked about how the Black Bull Saloon in Hobson will need to start a wall dedicated to her oversize checks from the Lottery. For every race, Kelly places two separate wages, changing only her A drivers. “I always keep my ticket the same except for the first driver,” she stated, “and I do plenty of research before I choose. Everyone else in our group makes fun of me for choosing my own racers and not quick picks like they do, but look who it has paid off for!” she laughed.

Last week, Kelly bought plane tickets for a NASCAR race in Richmond in September for her birthday. “This prize money will cover the plane tickets,” Kelly said, “and that’s what I plan to use it for!”
